Sophie Richter
Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München law faculty. Independent corporate practice.

Biography
Sophie Richter is a qualified lawyer and partner at the Munich office of German Firma. She studied law at the Juristische Fakultät of Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and started her career as an intern at PwC Munich, working with technology-sector clients in the Assurance practice.
Across roughly eight years she has built a practice anchored in two areas: tech company setup (GmbH formation with an IP and data-protection overlay) and immigration for founders and their teams (EU Blue Card under § 18b AufenthG, self-employment residence under § 21 AufenthG, general work visas and the Chancenkarte). She owns the firm's EU Blue Card, work-permit, self-employed-residence, DSGVO-compliance and trademark-registration pages. Munich's software-heavy founder scene sets the tone for what lands on her desk: English-speaking teams, tight product timelines, and visas tied to hiring.
Sophie's typical mandate.
- Standard founder package: § 21 AufenthG self-employed permit + GmbH formation + bank account + DSGVO baseline compliance in 10-14 weeks.
- Preferred path for hiring qualified internationals: § 81a fast-track Blue Card when salary clears the bottleneck threshold, otherwise § 18b (1) or § 18g IT-specialist.
- KVR München advantage over Berlin LEA on processing times is real and priced into timeline commitments.
